How it works
Risk per trade — the % of your account you're willing to lose if the stop hits. Pros keep this at 0.5–2%.
Per-share risk — the distance from your entry to your stop.
Shares — dollar risk ÷ per-share risk, floored to whole shares.
Reward-to-risk (R) — how many dollars you could make for every dollar risked. Anything below 1R is a bad bet regardless of setup.
